These tests are the second stage in the selection process for filling 26,146 vacancies in various government forces.
After the announcement of the SSC GD Tier 1 Result on July 10, 2024, a total of 351,176 candidates qualified to move forward to the physical tests.

What are SSC GD PET and PST?
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) are designed to test candidates’ physical fitness and endurance.
These are essential to determine if candidates are physically capable of handling the demands of the General Duty Constable position.
The tests are divided into two parts:
- Physical Endurance Test (PET): It assesses the candidate’s stamina and endurance.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): It checks if the candidate meets the required physical standards, such as height and chest measurements.

SSC GD PET Requirements 2024
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) includes different events for male and female candidates to assess their physical stamina.

SSC GD PST Requirements 2024
The Physical Standard Test (PST) focuses on height and chest measurements (for male candidates only) to ensure candidates meet the required physical criteria.
